Where to stay
Where to stay in Ericeira
Ericeira has beds for every budget, from sociable surf camps to quiet boutique hotels. Where you stay shapes your trip, so start with the area.
Choosing your area
If you do not have a car, stay in or near the old town, within walking distance of the central beaches, restaurants and the bus stop. With a car, the quieter spots towards the southern beaches or the northern reserve put you closer to the surf.
Surf camps
Surf camps are Ericeira’s signature stay, bundling lessons, board hire and a social scene with your bed. Many cluster around Foz do Lizandro and the hills above the southern beaches, ideal if surfing is the point of the trip.
Guesthouses and hostels
For independence on a budget, the town is full of guesthouses and stylish hostels, often with rooftops, shared kitchens and a relaxed, design-led feel. Book early for summer, when the best beds go fast.
Boutique hotels
At the higher end, a handful of boutique hotels and a landmark seafront hotel offer pools, sea views and more comfort, while keeping you close to the town and its beaches.
